September is here, and we've got another batch of improvements focused on keeping the LuxGrimoire database fresh and accurate, along with some fixes to series discovery and admin tools.
September 15
✨ Improvements
- Better social sharing images - made several improvements to shared images across LuxGrimoire, including better layouts, clearer wording, and improved formatting for drop slides. Drop slides now also use a taller format better suited to Instagram.
- More accurate sale information - improved how sale prices, currencies, and sale dates are handled, so the information shown across LuxGrimoire stays consistent and up to date.
- Branded 404 page - missing pages now get a proper LuxGrimoire page instead of the default error screen.

- Plus additional behind-the-scenes improvements to admin tools, accessibility, and performance.

- New social sharing images - LuxGrimoire now has custom images for shared editions, series, subscriptions, sales calendars, and profiles, making links shared on social media and messaging apps look much better.

- Fixed several smaller issues affecting subscriptions, drop slides, and accessibility.
- Plus additional behind-the-scenes improvements for admins and moderators, to performance, legal compliance, and internal tools.

✨ Improvements
- Faster sale announcements - the Sale Announcements page has been improved to load faster, with smoother page rendering and more consistent image sizing.
- Improved calendar navigation - past days are now shown more clearly on both public and personal sales calendars.
- Books by Month also gets an updated filter and month navigation for a smoother browsing experience.
- Clearer sale status on the homepage - sales that are already live now show Live, while sales starting later the same day show Today!, making it easier to tell at a glance what's happening.

- More reliable sale announcements - improved regional pricing and region preselect, so prices and currencies stay consistent across sale announcements, the calendar, and when adding a book to your collection.

- Faster page loading - public book, edition, series, company, author, and artist pages have been improved to load faster and more efficiently.
- Improved account security - password changes and resets now automatically sign you out of other active sessions, and you'll receive an email confirmation when your password is changed.
- Cleaner collection view - collection cards now have more consistent spacing, so status badges stay neatly in place instead of shifting around.

✨ Improvements
- Never miss a series continuation - new volumes announced by a company for a series you already collect can now trigger a notification, so you don't have to keep checking for the next book. Notifications are matched to the edition line you're collecting, so you won't get alerts for variants you don't own.
- Improved sale announcements - company names are now easier to find on sale announcement pages, with a direct link displayed above the book image.
- More reliable edition data - improved how edition variants are selected and managed when adding books, helping keep variant information consistent across a company's editions.
- Better understanding of how people discover LuxGrimoire - we've added some behind-the-scenes tracking to help us understand which sources bring new users to LuxGrimoire and which features they start using first. This will help us make better decisions about what to build and improve next.

- Company Data Freshness - admins and moderators can now see when each company's data was last checked, making it easier to keep track of which parts of the database may need updating. The new view also includes status indicators and notes for each company.
